Job Title: Apparel Product Designer
Location: Beaverton, OR 97005
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Range: $45 - $56 /hour on w2 DOE
Job Description:
Apparel Product Designer - Specialized 4 is focused on ideation & future vision for the women’s running athlete* and consumer. As a cut & sew expert generating new ways of thinking through performance products that result in competitive advantages growth opportunities. Develops ideas that are consistent with the women’s design ethos and vision by collaborating creative cross functional partners.
Advanced knowledge of the consumer, business, and performance requirements, develops insights which feed into the design of advanced product concepts using new technologies or construction processes.
Delivers proof of concept by turning new product visions into reality. Identifies advanced skills in product construction materials and processes.
Individual meets complex challenges with imaginative state of the art approaches supported by feasible solutions.
Clearly and concisely communicates the knowledge required and best practices, storytelling, and narrative building for women’s running product.
Demonstrate adaptability in assisting others to enhance overall team performance.
Work collaboratively with all team members to foster a positive and inclusive environment.
Requires a Bachelors Degree and of 8 years directly relevant work experience
Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law 6 yrs; Masters 7 yrs; Associates degree 9 yrs; High School 10 yrs.
Notes:
This role will assist the women’s running product design team. They need a Sr. technical cut and sew expert who has experience in lifestyle or performance apparel.
Must Have:
8 YEO in clothing product design or Cut and sew design
Technical performance designer in lifestyle and performance apparel
Hand sketching ideas, quick ideation
Advance in Adobe illustrator
Nice to Have:
Running clothing experience
Innovation - bringing new ideas or thought processes
3D experience, CLO or similar tools
Can work with multiple functions and teams autonomously, high multitasker, very cross functional
