Position Summary :
The primary responsibility of the Shipping Associate is to assist with various maintenance, inventory, and administrative shipping tasks. Our ideal candidate is able to prioritize and multi-task, ability to drive a forklift and has great communication skills.
Responsibilities / Duties :
- Data entry for administrative tasks relating to shipping
- Maintain a safe work environment within the division for customers and staff
- Prepares merchandise for shipment as required
- Utilizes material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks etc.
- Organize sticks and maintain inventory
- Inspect products for defects and damages
- Examine incoming and outgoing shipments
- Picking / checking / packing shipping orders
- Invoicing shipping / common carry orders
- Providing freight / common carry quotes
- Preparing pallets for common carry orders
- Sending call tags for shipping returns
- Handling damage claims
- Other tasks as defined by management
