Summary/Objective
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing operations including production, warehousing, and maintenance. This is a working manager role.
Responsibilities
- Manage the production process, including planning, processing, sourcing, and shipping.
- Ensure the quality of the product and maintain consistency in each batch.
- Ensure health and safety compliance, and perform routine safety checks on equipment.
- Oversee the maintenance of equipment, facilities, and mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Adhere to environmental regulations and laws.
- Manage administrative tasks, including production paperwork and regulatory documents.
- Oversees training of employees and equipment.
- Responsible for filling in if an employee is off sick, or leaves for an emergency.
- Assures that orders are pulled and loaded in an accurate and timely way.
- Supervises employees, administers discipline when appropriate.
- Develops process improvements for work flow.
- Recommends cost control or reduction methods.
- Coordinates work and vacation schedules.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience in the beverage industry or a similar role
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage departments and staff
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
- High School diploma/GED required.
- Business background beneficial.
- Previous supervisory experience.
