Plant Manager

Summary/Objective

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing operations including production, warehousing, and maintenance. This is a working manager role.

Responsibilities

• Manage the production process, including planning, processing, sourcing, and shipping.
• Ensure the quality of the product and maintain consistency in each batch.
• Ensure health and safety compliance, and perform routine safety checks on equipment.
• Oversee the maintenance of equipment, facilities, and mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Adhere to environmental regulations and laws.
• Manage administrative tasks, including production paperwork and regulatory documents.
• Oversees training of employees and equipment.
• Responsible for filling in if an employee is off sick, or leaves for an emergency.
• Assures that orders are pulled and loaded in an accurate and timely way.
• Supervises employees, administers discipline when appropriate.
• Develops process improvements for work flow.
• Recommends cost control or reduction methods.
• Coordinates work and vacation schedules.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience in the beverage industry or a similar role
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage departments and staff
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations
• Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
• High School diploma/GED required.
• Business background beneficial.
• Previous supervisory experience.
