Job Summary:
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Event Servers to join our team at RVA Gigsters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service during catered events, ensuring guests have a positive experience. You will assist with food and beverage service, set-up, and clean-up duties at various events, including weddings, corporate events, and private parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and professional service to event guests.
- Set up event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, and centerpieces.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the event.
- Assist in event breakdown and clean-up, including collecting used plates, glasses, and utensils.
- Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure smooth service and high-quality customer experience.
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests as needed.
- Adhere to health and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Able to lift 35-50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with event service (e.g., setting up and breaking down equipment).
- Previous experience in food service or catering is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Reliable transportation to and from events.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and carry items up to 50 lbs as needed during event setup and cleanup.
