OVERVIEW: The Outreach Specialist, under the coordination of the Clinical Program Manager and the Outreach Marketing Coordinator, implements outreach activities for the program. The Outreach Specialist also supports the development of an outreach plan and monitoring of outreach activities.
DUTIES:
- Assist in the development of outreach plans focused on increasing calls, texts and chats to the program.
- Supports the development of tracking system for outreach efforts.
- Review outreach data in coordination with the Outreach & Marketing Coordinator & Program Assistant.
- Supports partnerships with community organizations, schools, etc. for outreach activities.
- Assist in the development of outreach activities.
- Assist in the development of outreach materials and messaging including social media.
- Participate in direct outreach activities that include, but not limited to phone calls, in-person and virtual presentations, dropping off marketing materials, etc.
- Seek out, schedule and provide presentations to various community programs/agencies, medical, law enforcement, faith-based, etc.
- Participate in community health and safety fairs, community events & workshop, etc. to provide outreach for the program.
- Identify creative outreach strategies and other suggestions to increase utilization of the program services.
- As needed, facilitate focus groups to identify ways the program can better serve the community.
- Attend SCH activities as scheduled.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, training and other gatherings as needed.
- Complete identified documentation in a thorough and timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
LOCATION: 2750 Sutterville Rd., Sacramento, CA 95820
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Periodic evening & weekends
SALARY: $21.35 - $24.01 per hour, to start
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or general education degree (FED) is required. AA degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
At least 2 years of experience working in social services and/or community program is required. A least 1 year of experience doing community outreach for a social services agency.
