What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collection Manager position at Safe 1 Credit Union?
Duties:
- Manages collection department staff including scheduling and daily collection activities
- Initiates effective outbound calls and receives inbound calls
- Arrange payment solutions for members
- Ensures department and staff compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Recommends charge-off, repossessions and settlements
- Responsible for all collection activity including repossessions and assignment of accounts
Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communicationn skills
- Familiar with skip tracking techniques, bankruptcy, repossessions, and collection laws
- Good computer skills
Note: Experience in collection management within banking is preferred.
