What are the responsibilities and job description for the Card Support Specialist position at SAFE Federal Credit Union?
SUMMARY:
Serves members' needs by handling plastic card (credit and debit) inquiries, processes financial transactions, monitors ancillary card programs, and completes reports for management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Conduct quality assurance reviews on credit card modifications including new account setups, limit changes, or rate changes for valid application and supporting documentation and adherence to regulatory and policy compliance; ensure proper underwriting procedures are followed.
- Maintain audit log of credit card application errors. Prepare a monthly report with error stats for branch managers.
- Processes returned payments and generates applicable notices for cardholders.
- Performs accounts maintenance activities associated with processing, exception and lost/stolen reports.
- Processes all change of addresses for credit card programs.
- Resolves members and employees card related problems, and responds to member phone inquiries regarding ATM, debit and credit card services.
- Researches and resolves debit card maintenance rejects.
- Monitors activity and identifies trends on Automated Fraud Alerts, Digital Wallet tokenization and other ancillary card products to ensure a consistent member experience. Prepares periodic reporting for Electronic Services Management.
- Works with credit union’s contracted card vendor to report, monitor and resolve general product issues and/or inquiries.
- Provides backup support to Credit Card Coordinator.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
