The Director of Industrial Engineering will lead and oversee all aspects of the industrial engineering department and is a key leader within a cross-disciplinary team driving the design, development and execution of actuation systems for next generation of military and commercial aircraft. Responsibilities include streamlining current processes, implementing new strategies, and ensuring that engineering projects are executed efficiently and effectively and will span the entire product lifecycle, from initial design and requirements capture though manufacture and field support.
Essential Job Functions :
- Leads, manages, and develops a high-performing industrial engineering team.
- Oversees the design, implementation, and optimization of production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develops and implement industrial engineering strategies that align with the company's overall objectives.
- Conducts cost-benefit analyses to identify and justify process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborates with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless integration of engineering projects.
- Utilizes data-driven analysis and modeling to solve complex manufacturing and production issues.
- Implements lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and corporate policies.
- Oversees the management of industrial engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manages the industrial engineering budget and resource allocation.
- Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of engineering processes and initiatives.
- Stays current with advancements in industrial engineering technology and methodologies to continuously improve operations.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Constantly operates and use a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copier / printer and laboratory machinery. The ability to observe, identify and assess details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds across office for various needs.
The work environment is split between office & laboratory work, with most work being performed in the office. Noise level in the office is typically quiet while the noise level in the lab can occasionally require hearing protection.
Specificity of the job
Potential travel between Grand Prairie, Texas and other locations up to 25%.
