Purpose/ Overview
The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in financial operations, planning, and reporting for our multifamily development projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of real estate finance, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Responsibilities
- Distribute decks to investors and lenders, communication follow up and provide supplemental materials as requested.
- Complete loan matrices on various loan pursuits to support the leadership team in deciding the optimal financing option for assets by providing comparisons and cost benefits to shareholders of various debt and equity strategies.
- Develop and manage financial models, including discounted cash flows, sensitivity analysis, joint venture structures, and projected investment returns.
- Prepare initial drafts of offering and investment memoranda for multifamily real estate transactions, including research, financial modeling, and writing transaction narratives.
- Manage pipeline of in-process and prospective loans, tracking the status of transactions and ensuring timely progress.
- Analyze complex financial data in compliance with Agency (HUD, Fannie, Freddie) guidelines
- Conduct market research and run simple acquisition proformas in support of the land acquisition staff.
- Coordinate loan closing, including the execution of due diligence items, ensuring timely delivery of required materials.
- Support the team by maintaining the underwriting model for new investments.
Administration
- Develop and maintain documentation for team processes and procedures for all financial activities.
- Oversee preparation and distribution of quarterly and annual compliance reports for agencies and banks ensuring they are completed accurately and timely while identifying and making recommendations if compliance is at risk.
- Participate in weekly pipeline meetings to discuss deal flow and deal status.
- Review financial data and reports to measure the company’s performance against budgets, key internal benchmarks and competitors.
- Work closely with acquisition, development, and asset management teams to support project evaluations, due diligence, and strategic planning.
- Analyze economic, demographic, and market trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Manage investor relations platform.
- Maintain database of active lenders and investors to help identify new business opportunities.
- Create ad-hoc financial reports and analysis to assist management in decision making.
- Maintain accurate filing, record-keeping and version control system for loan documents and corporate documents.
- Engage in professional development activities to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the financial operations of the business.
Qualifications/ Competencies

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4 years of finance experience, focusing on multifamily real estate development or investment.
- Strong understanding of multifamily real estate finance, including debt and equity financing, cash flow analysis, and market trends.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and software (e.g., Excel, Argus).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, Adobe).
- Other Competencies/Characteristics – The ability to be flexible, highly organized with a strong orientation to detail/quality work & a high level of follow-through is required. Proven ability to work with multiple projects and manage competing priorities. Strong interpersonal communication skills are required.
Salary : $125,000 - $150,000
