Shop Foreman

SAGE Rental Services is looking for a Shop Foreman to join our team. The Shop Foreman will be based out of our Deer Park, TX office and will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Repair Services Facility, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in all shop activities. This position leads a team of mechanics ensuring that rotating equipment repairs and rebuilds are completed to the highest industry standards. The Shop Foreman will manage workflow, employee performance, and shop resources while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Detailed Description:

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): 

• Operational Oversight: Manage all aspects of shop operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource allocation to ensure timely and high-quality completion of repairs and rebuilds.
• Leadership & Team Management: Provide leadership and mentorship to mechanics and yard technicians.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Quality Control: Ensure all repairs, modifications, and rebuilds meet company and industry quality standards. Conduct final inspections as needed.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards
• Resource & Inventory Management: Monitor tooling, equipment, and consumables to ensure availability and proper maintenance. Coordinate with procurement to manage stock level
• Customer & Stakeholder Relations: Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are met, including reviewing job specifications, timelines, and quality expectations.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to improve shop efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements: 

• Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an industrial repair or maintenance environment, preferably in rotating equipment repair.
• Proven leadership experience, preferably in a shop or manufacturing setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Must be willing and available to be on call 24/7 for after-hours request
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds
