Responsibilities
- Develop and implement practice schedules and game strategies to enhance team performance.
- Conduct regular practices, ensuring that all players are engaged and improving their skills.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and player progress.
- Monitor and assess the development of each player, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Organize and oversee team events, including games, tournaments, and community service activities.
- Ensure that all players adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe playing environment.
- Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to promote the overall athletic program at White Pine Middle School.
- Maintain accurate records of player attendance, performance, and any disciplinary actions taken.
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school or high school level.
- Strong knowledge of football rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills to inspire young athletes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A commitment to fostering a positive and respectful team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A passion for youth development and a dedication to helping student-athletes succeed both on and off the field.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends for practices and games.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A background check will be required prior to employment.
