Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct daily practices that promote skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Develop game strategies and ensure effective execution during competitions.
- Monitor and assess the progress of student-athletes, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and hard work.
- Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team expectations, schedules, and progress.
- Organize and coordinate team events, including practices, games, and tournaments.
- Maintain knowledge of current volleyball techniques, rules, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote a cohesive athletic program.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and regulations regarding student-athletes.
- Serve as a role model for student-athletes, demonstrating a commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school or high school level.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A commitment to fostering a positive supportive environment for all student-athletes.
- Availability for practices, games, and team events, including evenings and weekends.
- A passion for teaching and mentoring young athletes both on and off the court.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A background check will be required prior to employment.
