Secondary Math Teacher - White Pine

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Math Teacher to join our team at White Pine Middle School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This full-time position requires a creative educator who can engage students in critical thinking and problem-solving while promoting a love for mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a growth mindset.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and support student learning.
• Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student understanding of mathematical concepts.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance, and communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mathematics education.
• Support school-wide initiatives and contribute to a positive school culture.
• Supervise students during non-classroom activities, including lunch and recess, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification in Secondary Mathematics.
• Proven experience teaching mathematics at the middle or high school level.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and curriculum standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
