Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a growth mindset.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and support student learning.
- Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance, and communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mathematics education.
- Support school-wide initiatives and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Supervise students during non-classroom activities, including lunch and recess, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in Secondary Mathematics.
- Proven experience teaching mathematics at the middle or high school level.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and curriculum standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
