We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Science Teacher to join our team at White Pine Middle School. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum requirements.
• Teach a range of scientific subjects, including but not limited to biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Utilize technology and hands-on experiments to enhance the learning experience.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and improve teaching practices.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic performance and classroom behavior.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in science.
• Contribute to school events, committees, and initiatives that support the school community and student engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid state teaching certification for secondary science education.
• Strong knowledge of scientific concepts and the ability to convey them effectively to middle school students.
• Experience in teaching at the middle school level is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
