Description
SAIC's Federal Financials and Commerce Market is in search of an enthusiastic, positive and personable individual possessing the ability to relate well to others and to be a productive and positive member of the team. In this role, the Administrative Assistant / Operations Support will report to the VP of our Federal Financials and Commerce Market Segment. This individual will be solely responsible for managing multiple projects, programs and events including :
Meeting and event planning (locally and outside of the Washington, DC area)
Manage awards program
Maintain organizational charts
Assist in management of office space for visiting employees and meetings
Maintain supply closet inventory
Create requisitions and manage invoicing for various memberships and services.
New Hire On-boarding
Sector community engagement
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience :
This administrative role requires the following experience, skills and attributes :
Bachelors and 0-1 years of experience
Flexible outlook and attitude with willingness to accept additional assignments and work outside of core hours as required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office's full suite of applications, including Microsoft Teams.
A curious mind comfortable with technology and a desire to understand how to fix IT problems, even if IT department must be consulted.
Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex executive-level meetings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently especially while working remotely.
Excellent analytical problem solving skills and use of common sense to anticipate and resolve challenges or obstacles resourcefully with diplomacy, efficiency and timeliness.
Ability to spot process inefficiencies and the confidence and professionalism to introduce a more efficient process.
Ability to remain calm under pressure, effectively manage new / shifting responsibilities and priorities, and handle multiple, complex tasks.
Ability to tolerate stress and be adaptable, flexible, persistent and versatile.
Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders with professional maturity, confidentiality and discretion.
Must possess the ability to handle confidential materials with the utmost discretion and privacy.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
This position is a hybrid remote role and will generally require two or more days per week in the Reston office.
