About the Property
Be part of a newly constructed, ~300 unit community located in Columbia Heights. This highly amenitized, luxury property offers an exceptional living experience with features such as a pool, sauna, athletic quarters, golf simulator, work-from-home hubs, and thoughtfully designed community spaces. As the Leasing Specialist for this community, you will be the conduit connecting interested prospects to their new homes showcasing all this property has to offer!

As a Leasing Specialist, you will partner with the Business Manager and Assistant Business Manager to achieve high occupancy rates. Your responsibilities will include responding promptly to incoming calls and digital inquiries, understanding the unique needs of prospective residents, and guiding them through personalized tours of the property. Your welcoming demeanor and ability to connect will ensure every interaction leaves a lasting impression. You'll serve as both a trusted advisor and a solution-finder, carefully listening to each prospective resident and offering tailored options to help them select their ideal home.
You'll shine by delivering engaging tours, mastering property highlights, staying knowledgeable about pricing and market trends, and ensuring timely, thoughtful follow-up with prospective residents. Organization, multitasking, and professionalism will be key to your success in this fast-paced, customer-focused role.
The ideal candidate has prior leasing or sales experience and brings a positive, enthusiastic, and energetic approach to connecting with others and understanding their stories. Through active listening and insightful questioning, you'll guide prospects to the perfect home and confidently close the deal. You excel in creative problem-solving, bring your personal best every day, and have the business acumen to deliver exceptional customer service with a can-do attitude.
Working Hours
While most of the work for this role will be during normal business hours, this position will offer tours to prospective residents by appointment during non-business hours. You'll have some flex in hours to accommodate tours that are requested on evenings and weekends and we're looking for someone that does not mind shifting their schedule to accommodate the high leasing season. Saturday hours are highly encouraged and that means that weekday hours can be set to align with what is best for future residents.
Responsibilities
- Respond to phone and email leads promptly and professionally. Availability to respond to inquiries on Saturdays is required.
- Develop strong familiarity with the properties, pricing, amenities and surrounding communities.
- Network within the community, developing a strong rapport and connection with businesses, residents, and future residents.
- Pre-qualify all prospects, set appointments, and follow up on all leads.
- Comply with Fair Housing laws.
- At least 2 years of sales or leasing experience preferred.
- Licensed Real Estate agent preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, especially during the high demand leasing season.
- Familiarity with Yardi (CRM) preferred.
- Business / business casual attire is required.
