Saint Anselm College, a private, liberal arts college in the benedictine tradition, is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join the Office of College Communications and Marketing (CCM). Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing and Content Strategy, the Marketing Specialist provides project and traffic management support for CCM, in addition to administrative duties for both CCM and the college’s Finance Department. Alongside the Creative Services and Content Strategy Teams, the Marketing Specialist will assist campus partners with promotional and collateral marketing needs, will manage project-based campaigns, and will help in the creation of content to advance the college’s brand awareness externally.
Core responsibilities:
- Assist college departments with creation and execution of effective marketing strategies by meeting with campus partners to perform needs assessment and campaign creation.
- Track CCM projects to ensure timely and efficient planning and delivery of marketing efforts.
- Create content in support of external marketing, such as hometown news items, calendar listings, and news stories for college website. Support campus partners in managing the posting of events and other items.
- Manage the development and administration of internally and externally printed materials, such as signage, stationery, posters, business cards and other content-driven products.
- Guide and assist interns with various projects, including monthly presidential newsletter.
- Work with alumni magazine editor collecting and proofing class notes, researching when necessary, managing mailing lists and providing oversight of the mail house on a 25,000-piece bi-annual magazine.
- Oversee daily CCM office operations, including the management of department purchases, supply needs, and physical plant requests.
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team and independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline plus 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Good written and oral communications skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of AP Style a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, writing, grammar and Microsoft Office and basic content management system skills.
- Previous experience in budgeting is desirable.
- General understanding of higher education.
- Ability to interact effectively in a positive manner with a broad range of constituents inside and outside of the college.
