Summary
Student workers in the Center for Accessibility Resources are responsible for supporting the staff and students by performing a wide-range of basic clerical / office tasks for this area and for the larger University.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet all visitors and determine the reason for their visit
Be welcoming, inclusive, and recognize that not everyone is an effective and confident communicator
General cleaning duties including, but not limited to : wiping down whiteboards, desks, and tables, and other miscellaneous office needs
Running errands throughout the University and delivering exams
Assist students when they have questions and / or concerns about specific services related to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Qualifications
MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
FEDERAL WORK STUDY REQUIRED
Be responsible, dependable, and punctual
Be trustworthy and able to maintain the confidentiality of our clients and services
Be able to work independently and to take initiative in fulfilling responsibilities
Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
Be Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Support the staff and the students in the CAR
Maintain the confidentiality of our clients and services
Exhibit appropriate and professional behavior at all times
Flexibility in work hours to ensure adequate coverage, etc.
