The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to form, bend, and fabricate materials according to production specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production lines and press brake equipment in accordance with work instructions to produce quality products that meet established specifications.
- Continuously monitor product appearance and take corrective actions to maintain quality within specifications.
- Accurately complete all records and reports as required by applicable work instructions.
- Adapt to varying workstations and tasks as production needs dictate.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required.
- Willingness to learn new machinery and operations related to the fabrication industry.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday.
- Ability to frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with press brake equipment and metal fabrication processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
