Quality Technician

The Quality Technician ensures that products meet established quality standards and customer requirements by performing inspections, testing, and documentation of production processes and outputs. This role is essential to maintaining a high level of product quality and process reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Conduct tests using measuring tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document inspection results, including non-conformances, and communicate findings to the production team and management.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues.
• Monitor production processes to identify and resolve potential quality concerns.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement quality improvements.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency with measuring tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 or other relevant frameworks is preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with spreadsheets and quality management software.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach during inspections.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 40 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Salary info:

$18 - $23 / hr
