BASE WAGE $19.66-$21.63 per hour based on education level.

DESCRIPTION
The Home Child Care Network, part of SAL Community Services, is the Quad Cities area's leading provider of early childhood care and education. We provide a safe, secure and supportive environment centered on how playing can charge the mind of the children we care for.
The Home Child Care Network (HCCN) Grant Accountant applies principles of accounting and is the subject matter expert for the Home Child Care Network and childcare providers offering non-traditional hours care along with other programs of the Home Child Care Network. This includes coordination of billing for services provided by the Home Child Care Network providers for hours of care received for families needing non-traditional hours of care, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate accounting records. You will also :
- Prepare and complete state and agency billing processes for non-traditional home childcare providers for the State of Illinois and the Home Child Care Network.
- Answer home childcare provider inquiries regarding Illinois Department of Human Services non-traditional care state billing.
- Determine proper handling of financial transactions and data for entry into accounting system.
- Prepare financial and operational reports in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
Required : Associates Degree in Accounting, emphasis in Accounting or related field with at least two years related experience including familiarity with accounting software systems and Microsoft Office software. In lieu of a degree, no less than four years of experience with a preference towards federal and / or state grants. Preferred : Three-plus years of relevant experience plus the degree. In lieu of a degree seven or more years of relevant experience within grant accounting job responsibilities is preferred. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in NetSuite Accounting software.
