DESCRIPTION
The Home Child Care Network, part of SAL Community Services, is the Quad Cities area's leading provider of early childhood care and education. We provide a safe, secure and supportive environment centered on how playing can charge the mind of the children we care for.
The Home Child Care Network Non-Traditional Care Outreach Specialist serves as a support for the Home Child Care Network to help create and support connections between current and potential licensed home child care providers offering non-traditional hours care and the Home Child Care Network program. Responsibilities include outreach and recruitment within the community to increase awareness of the program, program eligibility supports, and coordination of billing for services provided for hours of non-traditional care. This means you'll do things like :
- Serves as a recruiter for the Home Child Care Network to help create connection between licensed home child care providers offering non-traditional hours care and the home child care network.
- Visits home providers documenting provider needs, quality of care and regulating compliance.
- Maintains individual records to keep provider files complete, confidential and in compliance such as sign in / out sheets, monthly attendance sheets, records of provider correspondence, monthly home visit reports, quarterly reports based off monthly home visit reports.
- Support state and agency billing processes for non-traditional home child care providers for the State of Illinois and Home Child Care Network.
- Ensure that all non-traditional care state billings are sent in on time and accurately while following company, state, and federal policies.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
Required : Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following related fields (ECE, Child Development, Child Psychology / Behavioral Sciences, Family Consumer Sciences, Social Work, Elementary Education, Child Welfare, Family Services); OR an Associate's Degree with at least two (2) years' experience in the early care and education field. Preferred : Five or more years experience in early care and education or outreach in community based organizations.
