Your Role With Us:
- Maintains appropriate inventory levels, either through stocking or ordering, of items required for optimal departmental operations. Receives incoming supply orders and restock supply for both priority and regional lab.
- Monitors daily inventory levels by utilizing standard ordering practices based on usage and minimum quantities (PAR levels) as dictated by the department specialists and supervisors.
- Provide support and assist Section Specialists/Laboratory Management with Standing Order practices, recall notices, and Capital Purchases as needed.
- Operates within budget outlines and is well- versed in all facets of application of material management information systems program as outlined by the organization.
- Research, request quotes from acceptable vendors, and assist with acquiring materials for Capital Purchases, backorders, and product discontinuations.
- Complies with all regulatory laws regarding documentation, invoice maintenance, records, and storage conditions/ security.
- Utilizes the Laboratory SharePoint site as a communication tool to document low items and waste.

Background/Expertise:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required; OR two (2) years of directly related experience may be substituted in lieu of a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- One (1) year of any supply processing experience (sorting, inventorying, distributing) preferred.
- One (1) year of laboratory training/experience in a clinical laboratory or minimum of 3 quarters of college level course work that includes laboratory activities preferred.
- Experience in a similar work setting/department/unit preferred.
- Must be capable of light physical work which includes sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods of time. Lifting generally consists of items weighing less than 40 pounds.
- Must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license for at least two (2) years and have good driving skills and an excellent driving record.
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications used to perform the duties of the position including, but not limited to: Infor/Lawson/McKesson, Qsight, and Epic.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, which provide the ability to interact positively and persuasively with a wide variety of people.
