What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Front Office Assistant position at Salem Pulmonary Associates P.C?
We are seeking a seasoned medical receptionist/scheduler for our busy multi-specialty medical practice. Primary duties will include providing outstanding patient centered service, as well as all front office functions including patient relations, appointment scheduling and referrals, answering telephones, patient registration, insurance verification and authorizations, handling medical records, filing, cashiering, and computer work.
Other duties may include maintaining the patient care environment and managing supplies.
Our ideal candidate has:
**Minimum 2 year's relevant experience providing outstanding and professional patient care
**Great attention to detail,
**Compassion, empathy and strong interpersonal skills to communicate with patients' in-person and over the telephone.
**The ability to speak articulately and communicate messages in an accurate and timely manner
**Outstanding patient centered customer service, communication and team member skills
**Proven ability to maintain patience and composure when faced with challenging situations
**Able to multi-task
**Must be open to feedback, direction and correction
Preference is given for:
**NextGen® or comparable EMR experience**
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Salary is dependent on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
