Position Overview:
The IT Manager will oversee the organization's technology needs, ensuring systems, software, and infrastructure are secure, efficient, and meet the needs of the company. This role will work closely with a third-party IT service provider and play a key role in managing vendor relationships, troubleshooting issues, and implementing technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Strategy & Operations:
- Manage day-to-day IT operations, ensuring systems and software run efficiently.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align technology with business objectives.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, ensuring uptime, reliability, and security of all company technology systems.
Third-Party Vendor Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and third-party IT providers.
- Coordinate and oversee third-party IT service delivery, ensuring SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met.
- Monitor and escalate issues with external vendors to ensure timely resolutions.
Security & Compliance:
- Ensure company systems are secure and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Implement/monitor cybersecurity best practices, including risk management, antivirus solutions, and data protection policies.
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of backup and disaster recovery systems.
Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide internal support for employees regarding IT issues, acting as a point of escalation where necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technology-related issues, liaising with external vendors as needed.
Project Management:
- Lead IT-related projects such as software upgrades, system migrations, and hardware deployments.
- Manage budgets for IT-related projects and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs and solutions that drive efficiency and innovation.
- Support the organization’s efforts to introduce new technologies that enhance productivity and business outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in IT management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and software.
- Familiarity with managing third-party IT providers and vendor relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
