Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. As an integral member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, and prescribing corrective lenses as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and overall eye health
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, and cataracts
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids based on patients' needs and preferences
- Educate patients about proper eye care practices and answer any questions or concerns they may have
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including ophthalmologists and opticians, to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current diagnostic and therapeutic techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to speak Spanish fluently (Bilingual preferred)
- Prior experience working in a private practice setting is a plus, but not required
Compensation and Benefits:
- $140,000 - $160,000 yearly
