What You'll Contribute

The Principal Specialist, Post Default Strategy & Execution will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the activities related to post-default loan management.

What You'll Do

  • Provide support to buyers of loan purchasers including but not limited to fulfilling media and documentation, generating and supplying amortization histories, and completing affidavit requests.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate account records and reports related to post-default activities.
  • Track the completion and validation of timely and accurate payments.
  • Monitor and track the progress of post-default cases, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and timelines.
  • Review and maintain all loan sale documentation and other relevant legal documents to support the post-default process.
  • Provide support and guidance to internal teams around post-default processes and activities, working cross-functionally when performing research necessary tracking related to servicing disputes, complaints, fraud, collections, finance, and other internal business units associated with loan sales.
  • Help identify process improvement activities supporting loan sales.

What You Have

Minimum education, skills and experience required.

  • Solid understanding of default management processes, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and loss mitigation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and loan management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Education, Skills, And Experience.

  • High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in default management, loan servicing, or a related field.
