What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Employment- Specialist I, Assistant to Director, SEEA position at Salt Lake Community College?
Works with the Director of SEEA (Student Engagement, Experience & Achievement) to develop, coordinate, and implement projects aligned with departmental goals and Director-initiated activities. This position also provides administrative support to the Director and work alongside the departmental leadership staff.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Provides support to the Director with regard to events, partnerships, etc.
- Works with the department leadership team with planning agendas and overseeing follow-up as needed on assigned projects.
- Co-develops, implements and facilitate professional administrative processes regarding student specific programming
- Co-develops partnerships with the appropriate individuals on campus to support the creation of successful programming to engage students, faculty, and staff in meaningful and rewarding ways to build and foster the university’s culture and collaboration goals.
- Co-research best practices relating to department initiatives efforts as well as co-creating mentorship opportunities for students, staff, and faculty.
- GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Registered for 9.0 credit for Fall and Spring semesters.
- Registered for 6.0 credit hours for summer semester.
- Participate in CIP professional development activities.
- Ability to work 15-20 hours per week
