Position: Studio Host (Part-Time)
Location: Salt Lake Pottery Studio
Schedule: Flexible
Pay: $12 - $15 per Hour (depending on experience)
Salt Lake Pottery Studio is looking for a Studio Host to join our team and provide a welcoming, supportive atmosphere for our members, students, and guests. As a Studio Host, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring the studio runs smoothly, assisting with various tasks, and creating a positive, engaging environment for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Greeting & Assistance: Welcome studio members, students, and event participants. Offer a warm and friendly atmosphere, answer questions, and provide guidance on studio policies and procedures.
- Studio Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and organized studio space, ensuring all materials and tools are in their proper places and the studio is ready for each class or event.
- Event Support: Assist with setup and cleanup for classes and events, helping with the organization of materials and managing space. You’ll play an important role in ensuring the classes runs smoothly and guests feel comfortable.
- Member and Student Engagement: Interact with studio members and students during their time in the studio, offering support with pottery techniques or guidance on studio equipment.
- Administrative Support: Handle basic administrative tasks, such as checking in students, answering phone calls, managing the studio’s schedule, and assisting with payments and reservations.
- Safety & Studio Oversight: Ensure that studio safety protocols are followed, especially in areas like kiln usage, equipment handling, and overall studio cleanliness.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the studio team and other staff to ensure smooth operations and an excellent experience for everyone using the studio.
Qualifications:
- Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred. You should be approachable, friendly, and confident when interacting with others.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to keep the studio organized and assist with maintaining an efficient environment.
- Communication Skills: Clear communication skills, both in person and over the phone, are essential.
- Interest in Pottery: While previous pottery experience isn’t required, an interest in pottery or creative arts is a plus!
- Reliability & Punctuality: Ability to arrive on time for shifts and handle responsibilities independently when needed.
