As an Automation/Controls Technicia, you will be responsible for assisting in the designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions to streamline processes and enhance efficiency within our engineering department. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, develop technical solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. The role requires a deep understanding of automation technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop automation strategies and roadmaps to optimize engineering workflows and improve productivity.
- Design and implement automated solutions for repetitive tasks, including software development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation, gather requirements, and define project scope.
- Configure and maintain automation tools and platforms, such as robotic process automation (RPA), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and scripting languages.
- Conduct feasibility studies and performance assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of automation initiatives and propose enhancements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for automation systems, resolving issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and best practices, recommending innovations to enhance our automation capabilities.
- Document automation processes, workflows, and configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure system reliability.

Engineering Specialist/Technician II - Education = Tech/Trade School/Continuing Education; Experience = 4 years
Engineering Specialist/Technician I - Education = Tech/Trade School/Continuing Education; Experience = 6 years
