We are offering FULL TIME SHIFT 32- 40 hours a week security work at a prestigious Yacht Club.
Our hours of Operations are 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We are looking for someone DEPENDABLE, has FLEXIBLE hours, a TEAM PLAYER, and COMPUTER LITERATE.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
Must be able to lift 30 lbs., and able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Offer of employment is conditional upon having a Valid Guard Card at time of interview.

Essential Functions:
1.) Access control:
Greet & screen all incoming traffic in a professional manner. Maintain control of all guests, vendors, workers, tradesmen & associates entering the SDYC. Register & log all incoming boats, trailers & other vehicles that enter the club. Issue parking decals, permits & passes. Register & issue boat worker passes to verified insured workers. Register & log all boats, trailers & equipment exiting the SDYC in the DAR.
Monitor and review cameras.
Equipment Accountability: Maintain accountability of equipment-radios, flashlights, power cords, battery charger, sump-pumps, mules, keys, PIPE, fish scale and all other items related to the Security Department. Keep a log of all authorized use.
Dispatch of Security Calls: Security Officers receive both emergency and non-emergency calls via the telephone and the two way radio. Emergency calls take priority over all others. Security will maintain a “Chronological Log” of all calls received.
Daily Activity Report: Every Security Officer is responsible for maintaining their Daily Activity Report or DAR.
Incident reports: Any accident or incident will have a written report; all reports will be reviewed by the security supervisor to assure all SDYC standards are maintained. Complete the appropriate Incident Report;record names, addresses and telephone numbers of witnesses, take a complete statement from each witness-separately if possible.
Patrol Rounds: This encompasses all SDYC property, buildings, parking lots, dry slips and docks. Security Officers must be observant of their surroundings; checking for suspicious persons: challenging individuals they don’t know as members, guests or associates. Security will secure all unlocked doors and turn off lights, check all safety equipment (fire telephones, fire extinguishers etc.). In addition, Security checks for safety and maintenance hazards, monitors water marks on boats and look for any problems on top side. Security then notes all discrepancies and lists them in the DAR and composes a report to the Dockmaster’s office and prepares a “Maintenance Request”, if necessary.
Random inspection: Critical to LOSS PREVENTION efforts is the random check of, packages, backpacks, purses and vehicles exiting the property. These checks of bags, packages, backpacks, purses and lockers will be conducted in the Clubhouse and maintenance areas.
After hours monitoring of emergencies: Render “First Aid” as necessary, offer to call a doctor or paramedic if necessary or requested by the injured individual, arrange for transportation if further treatment is needed at a medical facility. List of ER’s and Urgent Care facilities are provided in the Emergency Manual.
Be observant of your surroundings: check for suspicious behaviors and challenge individuals you don’t know as Members, Guests or Associates.
Secure all unlocked doors and turn off lights, check all safety equipment (fire telephones, fire extinguishers etc.).Security locks and unlocks the Clubhouse, Sailing Center and the Pool on a daily basis.
Check for safety: maintenance hazards, monitor water marks on boats and look for any problems on top side. Note all discrepancies and list them in the DAR and compose a “Maintenance Request” form if necessary.
Slip Check Report: the Grave Shift Security Officer(s) will prepare a “Slip Check” for the dock master’s office. The report covers all wet slips & hoist.
Lost and Found: Direct all lost and found inquiries to the Front Desk.

Raising & take down of American Flag, SDYC burgee & officer flags.
Other duties as assigned.
