Overview
The Conference Planning Coordinator is responsible for performing clerical, administrative and other duties to assist in the smooth operation of the Conference Planning Department. He/she is also responsible for the finalization and processing of Sales & Catering details for upcoming events.

The Conference Planning Coordinator is responsible for performing clerical, administrative and other duties to assist in the smooth operation of the Conference Planning Department. He/she is also responsible for the finalization and processing of Sales & Catering details for upcoming events.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone and return calls.
- Input data into Group Rooms Control (GRC) database.
- Open and distribute mail.
- Distribute leads and maintain lead log.
- Control PO’s and check requests.
- Initiate and follow up on leads as directed by the Director Conference Planing.
- Be familiar with banquet menu offerings and pricing.
- Be familiar with hotel function spaces, their capacities and hotel service limitations.
- Maintain Lost Business log.
- Responsible for loading RFP’s (Request for Proposals) that the company has accepted.
- Responsible for daily routing of information to necessary departments.
- Responsible for maintaining RFP log.
