Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort, is nestled in the picturesque Panhandle of Florida. Spanning an impressive 2400 acres from the bay to the Gulf of Mexico, our resort boasts 4 championship golf courses, 1400 rental properties, a bustling marina, numerous outlets, numerous venues, two exclusive member-only clubs, and an array of additional amenities.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel.
- Establish and monitor performance standards and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments to support resort operations and enhance guest experience.
- Responsible for the financials for Engineering, cost reduction, budget and forecasting.
- Team building, mentoring and developing.
Maintenance and Operations:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all resort facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.
- Ensure the proper functioning of all mechanical and technical systems across the resort, including recreational facilities, accommodation units, and common areas.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and facilities.
Project Management:
- Plan, budget, and oversee all engineering projects, including renovations, new constructions, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
Sustainability and Innovation:
- Promote and implement sustainable practices and green initiatives to reduce the resort’s environmental footprint.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation in resort operations.
- Develop and manage energy efficiency programs to optimize resource usage and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the hospitality or resort industry.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
