Job Summary:
Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is in search of a detail-oriented and dedicated Banquet Event Set-Up Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating memorable event experiences by setting up and arranging venues throughout our stunning resort. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare event spaces for various functions, including meetings, weddings, banquets, and conferences.
- Set up and arrange tables, chairs, linens, decorations, and audio-visual equipment.
- Ensure the layout and design of each event space meet the specific requirements and preferences of our guests.
- Collaborate closely with event planners and the culinary team to ensure seamless event execution.
- Maintain inventory of event setup materials and report any shortages.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in all event setup areas.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects and furniture (up to 50 pounds).
- Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Work in various indoor and outdoor environments throughout the resort.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy setting.
- Possess the physical dexterity to assemble and arrange event setup items.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event setup, banquet services, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset for event arrangement.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Knowledge of the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort and its facilities is beneficial.
