Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is seeking a highly organized and motivated Banquet Event Set-Up Supervisor to oversee event setups throughout our premier resort. This leadership role requires a keen eye for detail, strong coordination skills, and the ability to guide a team in delivering high-quality event experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the banquet setup team in preparing event spaces for meetings, weddings, banquets, and conferences.
- Ensure proper setup of tables, chairs, linens, decorations, and audio-visual equipment according to event specifications.
- Coordinate with event planners, banquet managers, and the culinary team to ensure seamless execution.
- Conduct inspections to verify setup accuracy, cleanliness, and adherence to resort standards.
- Train and mentor team members, providing guidance on setup procedures and resort expectations.
- Manage inventory of event setup materials and ensure proper storage and maintenance.
- Address last-minute event changes and problem-solve setup-related issues in a timely manner.
- Uphold safety protocols and ensure all setups comply with resort and industry standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects and furniture (up to 50 pounds).
- Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Work in various indoor and outdoor environments throughout the resort.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy setting.
- Possess the physical dexterity to assemble and arrange event setup items efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in banquet/event setup, hospitality, or a related field required.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and team leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while working under time constraints.
- Knowledge of Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort and its facilities is beneficial.
