Position Overview:
As the Front Office Manager, you will serve as the cornerstone of our resort's front desk operations, playing a pivotal role in shaping guest experiences through leadership, innovation, and unwavering dedication to excellence. You will be responsible for steering our front office team towards delivering seamless and consistently high-quality services, ensuring every guest's stay is nothing short of spectacular.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, inspire, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Front Desk, ensuring operational excellence and the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
- Supervise and mentor the front desk team, concierge, PBX, and bell staff, fostering an environment of growth, efficiency, and exceptional service.
- Craft, implement, and oversee work schedules, ensuring a perfect balance between exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.
- Engage in active problem-solving, handling guest disputes, and operational challenges with tact, diplomacy, and effectiveness.
- Champion the development and training of the front office team, promoting a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and team spirit.
- Conduct regular team meetings, facilitating open communication, and ensuring alignment with resort standards and goals.
- Play a critical role in achieving resort occupancy targets through strategic planning and team coordination.
- Ensure meticulous attention to detail in all operational aspects, from shift closings to financial transactions, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity.
Qualifications:
- A solid foundation with a high school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of front office management experience in a hotel or vacation rental setting.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service, with a passion for delighting guests and exceeding expectations.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, embracing the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with both team members and guests.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
- Effective communication skills, fluent in both verbal and written English, with additional languages being a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- This role requires a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, in various weather conditions, maintaining a high level of energy and professionalism.
- Ability to stand, move swiftly, and engage in physical tasks such as lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, and stretching as necessary.
- Good manual dexterity for the operation of equipment and performing multi-faceted tasks simultaneously.
