Sandhill Cove is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Health Center Admissions Coordinator to join our team at Water's Edge.
The full-time schedule includes weekends every Saturday and Sunday.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities:
- Evaluate and accept admissions to health center.
- Maintains positive working relationships with referral sources, providing timely feedback on prospects.
- Assists with admission paperwork and filing on new residents.
- Assists with room preparation for new residents.
- Assists with insurance verification and approvals for prospective and current residents.
Minimum requirements:
- Ability to work a full-time, 40-hour schedule that includes Saturday and Sunday coverage every weekend as well as rotating holidays.
- Experience in long-term care or related field.
- Overall knowledge of the elderly, sensitivity to their interests, and understanding of their physical limitations, mental abilities, and appreciation for their psychosocial well-being.
- Computer skills to include Microsoft and the ability to learn industry-related programs such as Point Click Care, Salesforce, etc.
- Ability to act with diplomacy, intuition, humor, assurance, and decisiveness.
- Interpersonal skills to interact with the public in a professional manner.
Physical demands and work environment:
- Moderate physical effort 20% of the time.
- Moderate bending and stooping, standing, ability to push residents in a wheelchair.
- Push, pull or lift to 30 pounds on occasion.
- Works in retirement facility environment with regular exposure to chronically ill and frail elderly.

Starting hourly rate: $22 -$30 per hour, depending on experience.
