Position Summary
Lead, direct, and supervise financial statement preparation. Maintain general ledger, budgets, and taxes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in establishing accounting processes and procedures.
- Directs general ledger entries and general ledger reconciliation.
- General Ledger analysis and maintenance.
- Analysis of revenue and expense processes to provide input on efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepares monthly financial statements and reports for review and analysis.
- Tax reconciliation and reporting.
- Financial Statement budget maintenance and analysis.
- Ensures compliance with GAAP and systems of internal controls.
- Develops and prepares specialized reports as requested.
- Knowledge of operations and Federal, state and Tribal tax reporting requirements
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo of Sandia.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be detail-oriented, and well organized.
- Must have previous accounting experience.
- Must have effective written and oral communications skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Knowledge of purchasing and inventory systems.
- Ability to analyze and develop logical decisions.
- Knowledge of business administration of a food and beverage operation.
- Knowledge and experience in general ledger and financial statements
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with members of management, subordinates and associates within the organization.
Education and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Four (4) years of accounting experience including two (2) in a supervisory capacity.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred:
- Experience in gaming or resort/hospitality industries
Note: Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years, two (2) years of which must be in a supervisory capacity, may substitute for the required education and experience.
License/Certifications/Registrations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License
- Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
