What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Spa Manager position at Sandpearl Resort?

Responsibilities:
As the Assistant SPA manager, he/she would play a very important role in the day to day operations of the SPA. Should strive to maintain and motivate the entire SPA team, and also able to create a culture of care and service excellence among employees.
Able to implement SPA operational goals, policies and procedures. Additionally the position will be responsible for retail store business, for the overall management of the business by ensuring that both the operational and commercial sides run smoothly.
Qualifications:

Provide excellent guest service and handle all guest requests, complaints and service issues.

Perform and post all scheduling for spa and retail staff according to forecasted flow of business.

Be knowledgeable in all spa equipment, products and procedures.

Be available to field questions and supply needs from therapists and spa specialists.

Complete purchase requisitions and invoices.

Schedule and conduct regular monthly staff meetings.

Oversee Retail and Professional inventory.

Schedule and oversee monthly inventory of the facility.

Communicate all maintenance and housekeeping concerns efficiently to maintain consistent operations of spa facilities.

Follow up on all daily charges to insure posting all guest charges, eliminating any unprocessed transactions.

Train all staff on policies and procedures. Enforce policies and procedures and discipline and counsel staff as needed.

Be able to hold casual conversations with all Guests in a comfortable manner.

Nurture the team and teamwork concept.

Must have a “whatever it takes” outlook for Guests, fellow Associates, and other departments.

Provide efficient training for all new hires

Coach and Council all spa associates as necessary

Provide on-going training for each associate as necessary.

Control inventory on professional and retail items
-
Control and balance check book.

Create all Purchase orders.

Cover lunch breaks where necessary.
Qualifications:

Passionate about the Spa and Retail world.

Demonstrate strong leadership, team, and communication skills

Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite

Strong working knowledge of Spa scheduling software.

Must be able to work long hours, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Minimum 2 years Spa and Retail Management experience preferred
