The Parking Coordinator/Shuttle Driver is responsible for coordinating parking operations and providing shuttle services at Orlando Sanford International Airport. This role involves managing parking facilities, assisting passengers with parking-related inquiries, operating shuttle buses to transport passengers to and from the terminal, and ensuring a high level of customer service and safety. The Parking Coordinator/Shuttle Driver plays a key role in enhancing the passenger experience and maintaining the efficiency of parking and shuttle operations.
THIS POSITION IS CURRENTLY OPEN FOR THE EVENING HOURS 4 PM-12 AM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assist with the daily operations of parking facilities, including managing parking spaces, monitoring occupancy, and addressing any issues that arise.
- Provide guidance and support to passengers regarding parking options, directions, and payment procedures.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of parking areas, including reporting any facility issues to the Grounds/Transportation/Parking Manager.
- Operate shuttle buses safely and efficiently, transporting passengers to and from the terminal and parking areas.
- Adhere to scheduled routes and times, ensuring timely and reliable service for passengers.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including helping with luggage and providing excellent customer service.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle bus to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering assistance as needed.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience for all passengers.
- Offer information about airport facilities, services, and travel tips to enhance the overall passenger experience.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements, and other relevant standards related to parking and shuttle operations.
- Implement and adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for passengers and staff.
- Conduct safety checks and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the shuttle bus.
- Monitor and manage the flow of vehicles in parking areas to optimize space utilization and minimize congestion.
- Coordinate with other parking staff and shuttle drivers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Assist with the implementation of operational procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of parking and shuttle operations, including passenger counts, incidents, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Grounds/Transportation/Parking Manager, highlighting key activities, performance metrics, and any operational concerns.
- Identify opportunities for improving parking and shuttle operations and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure operations remain competitive and compliant.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in parking operations, customer service, or transportation services, with experience as a shuttle driver preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate shuttle buses safely.
- Must be 21 or older
- Knowledge of parking operations, customer service standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact with passengers professionally and address issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
