We are looking for an Accounts Payable Associate to join our Accounting team for a TEMP to HIRE opportunity. Initial contract for 3-6 months before going permanent.
Primary Job Duties:
- Responsible for processing the accounts payable checks, ACH & Direct Deposits ensuring signatures are obtain from authorized officer, copies are kept in the file and check are mailed to vendors on a timely basis.
- Responsible for processing invoices
- Investigate, Review, and ensure all Accounts Payable invoices are properly authorized in accordance with the expense guidelines.
- Ensures that any new contract/leases etc., are forwarded for input in Accounts Payable system.
- Responsible for the distribution of the mail and ordering supplies for the Accounting, Finance & Treasury departments.
- Post general ledger entries for the Accounting, Finance & Treasury departments and reviews the report on the next day for accuracy and completeness as well as obtaining approval signature from the authorized accounting officer.
- Responsible for preparing entries related to bank charges.
- Balance the Petty Cash monthly, record any expenses
- Responsible for the filling and the record retention inventory.
- Review monthly prepaids report for items to expire and send email confirmations.
- Assists with the preparation and transmission of Use Tax Provision monthly.
- Assists the department in preparing the 1099 Miscellaneous and 1042 S Tax Forms annually.
Job Requirements:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish). Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience ideally in the Banking industry or in the Accounting field.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
