POSITION SUMMARY:
Shift supervisor is responsible for the effective management and leadership of all production and production support personnel for their respective shift. The shift supervisor must develop and maintain a staff that is focused on customer satisfaction, involved with the overall success of the organization, and continuously improves company performance in quality, price, and delivery.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Trouble shoot and adjust molding parameters to maintain quality-maximum product output.
- Lead a team to execute daily production tasks, work scheduling, training and maintaining the plant.
- Perform problem solving to develop corrective actions and initiate continuous improvement.
- Co-ordinate tooling, equipment availability, repair and maintenance.
- Ensure safe work environment and cleanliness.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws.
- Selection and development of production and support staff personnel.
- Provide support to staff as required.
- Verify new mold set-ups, start-ups and 1st piece approval.
- Monitor employee attendance, evaluations and take necessary disciplinary actions as required.
- Daily planning and coordination with the production manager to resolve any issues that would interfere with meeting quality and delivery requirements.
- Accuracy of the daily shift reports.
- Use Plex effectively. Placing product on hold, lot traceability, material adjustments and scrap tracking.
- Document any tool or machine damage that would happen on your shift and send to Production Manager.
- Complete Supervisor checklist daily.
- Other assignments as designated by the Production Manager.
QUALIFICATION:
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with a working knowledge of plastic injection molding equipment, thermoplastic resins and injection molds.
- Knowledge of set-up and tear-down procedures of injection molds.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to utilize precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment to monitor quality.
- Working knowledge of quality systems and procedures based on the ISO Standard.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years progressive manufacturing/supervisory experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Microsoft Office – Excel, word.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
May engage in frequent bending, squatting, pushing of part containers and should be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Shift Supervisor reports to the Production Manager.
3rd Shift: 10:15PM - 6:45AM
