Responsibilities
- Administer IV infusions and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers.

- Monitor patients during infusion therapy for any adverse reactions or complications.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about infusion therapy, including potential side effects and aftercare.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and responses in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Skills
- Proficient in IV infusion techniques and experience administering injections.
- Knowledge of internal medicine principles and practices.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Athenahealth.
- Ability to perform sutures when necessary.
- Experience working in a hospital or teaching hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong triage skills to assess patient conditions effectively.
- Ability to ventilate patients when required, ensuring proper respiratory support.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with the healthcare team.
