Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient assessment and infusion therapy, with the ability to provide high-quality care to patients in various settings. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual care needs and develop appropriate infusion plans.
- Administer intravenous medications and therapies while monitoring patients for adverse reactions or side effects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including pain management and family planning services.
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication administration, and self-care techniques related to infusion therapy.
- Participate in memory care initiatives and provide support for pediatric patients as needed.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in infusion nursing.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience with patient assessment, MDS documentation, and infusion therapy is preferred.
- Familiarity with pediatric nursing practices is a plus.
- Proficient in using EHR systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks.
- Strong understanding of pain management techniques and memory care principles.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.
