Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Home Infusion professional to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential infusion therapy services to patients in their homes, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care in a comfortable environment. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with patients and healthcare providers.
Duties
- Administer intravenous (IV) medications and therapies as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or complications during infusion therapy.
- Educate patients and their families on medication administration, potential side effects, and care procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatment plans and progress.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families throughout the treatment process.
Requirements
- Current nursing license (RN or LPN) in good standing.
- Previous experience in home health or infusion therapy preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of IV therapy protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and families.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
- CPR certification is required; additional certifications in infusion therapy are a plus.
