We are expanding our team and looking for a Technical Implementation Consultant to join our North America (NAM) team.
Position Summary
We are seeking an application engineer to join our customer success team and be able to work alongside our other engineers; architects; business analysts, and project managers. As an Application Engineer, you will deliver Sapio Sciences solutions to customers and ensure their satisfaction. You will develop a deep understanding of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN), and Scientific Data Management Systems (SDMS), which is crucial for success. You will strive to become an expert in configuring and deploying Sapio Sciences products within laboratory environments, developing a strong background in life sciences.
Working location:
The role will be hybrid remote, with an expectation for this person to visit our York, PA office twice a week, to attend in-person catch ups with the other engineers and architects.
Essential Responsibilities
Platform and Product Expertise: Stay updated with new platform enhancements and functionalities, ensuring they spend time adequately training and learning to leverage these updates. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Sapio Sciences’ products and services.
Solution Implementation and Testing: Focus on implementation and testing of customer solutions, and your primary responsibility will be to execute the configuration and deployment of solutions as outlined by Solution Architects and Scientific Business Analysts. You will conduct thorough testing to ensure that the solutions meet the required specifications and quality standards.
JIRA Management: Utilize JIRA to track project progress. Ensure tasks are kept up to date to reflect the latest project status.
Task Execution: Be responsible for executing tasks within the timeframes and guidelines provided. Ensure that each assigned task is completed efficiently and accurately, adhering to project timelines and quality expectations. Collaborate with team members to communicate progress and address any challenges that arise during task execution, ensuring the successful delivery of the solution.
Support Desk Rotation: Participate in a rotating schedule on the support desk, responsible for responding to customer inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing timely resolutions. Ensures that Sapio customers receive prompt support and a high level of service.
Project and Process Management: Support Project Managers and Solutions Architects in successfully delivering customer projects, and adhere to agreed processes, best practices, and proper time tracking and management.
Required Education/Experience
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
- Strong programming skills with detailed knowledge of Java or Python.
- Knowledge of one or more of GWT, MySQL, Oracle, Tomcat, Linux, AWS
