Title: Administrative Assistant to the Events Coordinator
Reports To: Admissions Manager
SUMMARY OF POSITION, FUNCTION, AND DUTIES
Under the direction of the Events Coordinator, the Events Administrative Assistant is assigned to fulfill the mission of
honoring the Lord Jesus Christ which is to equip students with a love for Christ, a passion to learn, the courage to lead, and a commitment to serve. The school administration may assign additional duties or specify other functions needed as may be appropriate for specific staff posts. The Events Administrative Assistant is responsible for completing various tasks as assigned by the Events Coordinator. A base schedule of 7:30am to 4:00pm with ½ hour off for lunch is assumed Monday through Friday, though flexibility in schedule and workflow are crucial to respond to unforeseen and after-school needs that arise as well as assist at two annual school events per year (Gala and Festival & Auction).
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

· Must be a born-again Christian whose lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Bible and express agreement with the school's doctrinal viewpoints, statement of faith, and Christian lifestyle requirements.
· Must be able to serve as a positive Christian role model to others in the school context.

· Must have an understanding of and commitment to SCS's educational objectives and philosophy of education.
· Must possess sufficient biblical knowledge that enables the individual to integrate Scripture into all other job duties assigned, thus imparting to students a biblical worldview position.

PROFESSIONAL – JOB DUTIES
· Maintain school calendar with use of school event forms.
· Send all donation letters and maintain donor lists.
· Crosstrain on front desk duties to help when needed.
· Data entry as needed.
· Quarterly business directory updates.
· Phone and written communication as needed for all events office functions.
· Assist Events Coordinator with related functions as needed.
· Assist with organization and care of event supplies.
· Assist with all functions of school events as needed.
· Oversee Volunteer of the Month communications.
· Create systems for keeping shared spaces tidy, ensuring the office and storage areas are clean and welcoming.
· Work efficiently to handle logistics and organization of events and meetings.

· Great communication skills and responsiveness to all stakeholders including fellow employees, students, and parents.
· Consistently high standards of workmanship should be evident in all work, along with attentiveness to cost-effective solutions.

· Available some evenings as needed for event planning. Saturday in February and September is required for event implementation. Availability will be required leading up to the Gala and Festival & Auction.
· Proficient in Excel/Word/Google Docs with the ability to learn OneCause event software.
· Previous experience with RenWeb (FACTS) is a plus.
· Must be able to work independently and have the ability to exercise discretion and judgment of task.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
· Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated ability to correspond efficiently.
· Willingness to take ownership for a wide range of responsibilities and create ways to improve own work and ensure quality.
Dress Code: A professional appearance is expected. An SCS school spirit shirt may be worn on Fridays.
Physical Requirements: Working conditions and physical requirements are normal for a general school environment; in addition, the physical ability to lift and move items of up to 25 pounds is desired.
