Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF)
Job Summary
This leader has operational accountability and oversight, of the therapists in the inpatient rehabilitation facility. This role includes managing a multidisciplinary team of therapists, ensuring high quality patient care, and optimizing departmental operations to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring teamwork, tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Require current State of Florida licensure (PT, OT or SLP).
- Require a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, with at least two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience.
- Require American Medical Rehabilitation Provider Association (AMRPA) Medical Rehabilitation Certification (MRMC) within one (1) year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility experience.
- Prefer a master's degree in business or health administration (MBA or MHA).
- Prefer demonstrated ability to analyze problems and consistently follow through to solution and to take initiative, exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- Prefer demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of insurance rules and regulations including Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial insurance.
- Prefer demonstrated leadership skills and understanding of group processes and teamwork.
