Job Description: Director of Marketing (Multi-Brand - Nightlife & Hospitality)
Location: San Antonio, TX (Hybrid and On-Site)
Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 per year (based on experience)
Role Overview
The Director of Marketing is responsible for the marketing plan execution, and oversight and management of the marketing team: Working under the CMO, this individual plays a crucial role in ensuring each brand’s marketing strategy is executed effectively and consistently while optimizing performance across multiple locations.
This position directly oversees the Marketing Managers and Coordinators, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s goals, marketing plans, and brand identity. The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing, monitoring, and evaluating marketing initiatives, ensuring that each brand achieves its performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Brand Growth
· Assist the CMO in developing strategic marketing plans for all bar brands.
· Oversee the execution of brand-specific marketing strategies to maximize customer engagement and revenue.
· Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all locations.
· Identify market trends and customer insights to refine marketing strategies.
Team Oversight & Performance Management
· Directly manage Marketing Managers and Coordinators across all brands.
· Set KPIs and monthly performance benchmarks for all marketing team members.
· Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and training to ensure professional growth and high team performance.
· Conduct monthly evaluations to track team effectiveness and how time is allocated.
Marketing Execution & Campaign Development
· Lead high-level marketing initiatives, including large-scale promotions, new location openings, and brand activations.
· Work with Marketing Managers to develop and execute promotional campaigns for each brand.
· Oversee content strategy, including social media, paid advertising, email/SMS campaigns, and print materials.
· Ensure that all marketing efforts are data-driven and optimized for return on investment (ROI).
Review Management & Customer Engagement
· Establish daily review monitoring procedures for all major review sites (Google, Yelp, Facebook, TripAdvisor).
· Ensure that every review, positive or negative, receives a response from the Marketing Managers or Coordinators.
· Train the marketing team on best practices for reputation management and customer interaction.
Partnerships, Sponsorships, & Influencer Marketing
· Build strategic relationships with local influencers, media, and promoters to increase brand visibility.
· Secure sponsorships with alcohol brands, nightlife promoters, and community organizations.
· Collaborate with venue managers to launch high-revenue events and promotions that drive foot traffic.
Data Analytics & Marketing Optimization
· Oversee the tracking of campaign performance, digital analytics, and revenue impact of marketing initiatives.
· Implement customer data tracking (email/SMS lists, loyalty programs, and purchasing behavior).
· Provide monthly reports to the CMO, detailing marketing performance and areas for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
· 10 years of marketing leadership experience, preferably in nightlife, bars, hospitality, or entertainment.
· Proven experience managing marketing teams across multiple locations and brands.
· Strong understanding of paid media, influencer marketing, event promotions, and social media advertising.
· Hands-on experience with SEO, website management, and customer engagement strategies.
· Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage both strategy and execution.
· Exceptional skills in data analysis, budgeting, and ROI tracking.
Performance Evaluation
· Monthly Performance Reviews: The Director will evaluate how time is spent by the marketing team and provide performance updates.
· Marketing ROI Analysis: Monthly reporting on event success, customer engagement, and digital marketing performance.
· Customer Review Response Compliance: Ensure that 100% of reviews are responded to daily by Marketing Managers and Coordinators.
