As a vital member of our school community, you will provide the support, guidance, and tools that students need to overcome challenges, grow emotionally, and reach their full potential.What Youll Do: Collaborate with Educators & Administration: Be a trusted partner to teachers, administrators, and staff, offering guidance and support to ensure every students success. Provide Meaningful Counseling: Offer individual, small group, and classroom counseling that helps students navigate the complexities of middle school lifeacademic stress, peer relationships, and self-discovery. Facilitate Guidance Lessons: Lead engaging lessons that help students develop crucial life skills like problem-solving, conflict resolution, study habits, and emotional intelligence.
Resolve Conflicts with Care: Mediate conflicts between peers, helping students learn how to navigate social dynamics and build positive relationships. Engage with Families: Foster strong partnerships with families, keeping them informed and involved in their childs growth and development. Be an accessible resource for parents as they support their childs journey. Guide Academic Success: Work with students to set realistic academic goals, choose the right courses, and plan for future success, all while promoting a well-balanced student life.
Provide Support When Needed: Offer referrals to additional resources and help connect students and families with services outside the school when needed.What Youll Need to Bring: A Masters degree in School Counseling (or a related field). Current NHDOE certification. Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills. A passion for working with middle school students and their families.
